Meet Jackie's CEO, Amber Duncan

Amber Duncan - CEO & Founder of Jackie

Meet Amber Duncan, the Founder, and CEO of Jackie, a subscription styling service providing women with access to premium boutique brands, and more importantly, a meaningful community of women dedicated to making a difference. Amber is a mother to five, a wife, and an entrepreneur. When she isn’t running from meeting to meeting, you can find her spending time with her family, jet setting, sitting by the pool with her Frenchies, or riding her Peloton.

What was the inspiration behind creating the business?

“I started Jackie because I saw a need that wasn’t being met anywhere else. As a mom and an entrepreneur, I love the subscription clothing business model. It just makes sense for women who love fashion but don’t have the time to shop and curate a wardrobe they love. I personally tried every subscription styling box on the market and found that what was missing was an element of personal touch. What I wanted was an elevated customer experience. Not only did I want high-quality brands, but a stylist to match. Out of that need, I created Jackie.”

Why Jackie? How did you choose the name?

“This is really one of my favorite memories as I reflect on the brand creation of Jackie. Jackie was not the initial name for the business at all, but during the initial phases of creating the business, I had begun watching the movie, Jackie on Netflix. There is a scene where the secret service calls her “Mrs. Kennedy” just days after her husband had been assassinated, she responds with, “Don’t call me Mrs. Kennedy. Just call me Jackie.” At that moment I knew I had found the name for my business. Not only is Jackie O a timeless style icon, but that confidence and strength she embodied at that moment is the exact feeling I want all of our clients to have each and every day. To us here at Jackie, that feeling starts with taking pride in the clothes you wear and feeling confident in how you present yourself. The rest comes naturally.”

Who does Jackie style?

“We know that Jackie isn’t for every woman, but we encourage women to allow themselves the opportunity to invest in their personal style journey. Our team styles mothers, entrepreneurs, women who work corporate jobs, women who love fitness, and so much more. If you are looking to truly invest in yourself and give yourself the wardrobe you deserve, Jackie might just be exactly what you’ve been looking for. Jackie carries high-end, luxury brands that are built to last. Jackie is by no means a budget styling service, but one that provides value beyond the clothes that come inside each red box.“

What is your favorite part of the Jackie community?

“Without a shadow of a doubt, my favorite thing about Jackie is the community that has been created in response to our mission. It has never been only about the clothes for me. The clothing is just the tool used to support, empower and encourage women in their own personal journey. We offer in-person events and shopping opportunities for our local clients, and a supportive online community for our clients across the U.S. I love to see women come together to truly support and uplift one another and that is something we see every day here at Jackie. From the relationships the stylists cultivate with their clients, to the partnerships we see formed virtually between clients, there is something to be said for a community of women who truly encourage one another.”

Is there anything new coming for Jackie in 2022?

“We are always working on new ways to grow here at Jackie and 2022 is no exception. One thing you can expect to see this year is the official launch of The Jack Box, a subscription styling service for men. Be sure to follow us @shop.jackie for updates.”

How can women join the Jackie movement and follow along?
