6 Fall Fashion Trends We Can't Wait to Wear
August is one of our favorite months here at Jackie as we begin dreaming of cooler weather and the fall fashion trends that come with it. We can finally begin thinking about sweaters and layering with the height of summer in Florida behind us. Fall is quickly approaching so we have selected six trends that we are loving for the upcoming season.

This fall is trending toward ’90s fashion and we can’t get enough. We are seeing things like platform shoes, simple slip dresses, a plain white tank, and a more professional pantsuit make an appearance this fall. 90’s minimalism is defined by straight, streamlined silhouettes. It carries with it a defined sense of ultra-luxe basics and a “less is more” approach. It leaves behind chunky jewelry and bold prints and accessories. It is clean, simple, and timeless. We aren’t surprised to see this make a comeback this fall.
In case you haven’t heard, ballet flats are making a comeback. Sparked by a Gossip Girl reboot and the return of indie sleaze fashion, ballet flats are here to stay for fall. Not only are they chic and timeless, but they can be styled with almost anything. Ballet flats were trending in the early 2000s for a number of reasons, but comfort and style have always been at the top of the list. We are even seeing celebrities like Jennifer Lopez and Kaite Holmes spotted flaunting this trend. If JLO says ballet flats are in, we believe her.
Fall fashion is pointing to all things full-length. From maxi skirts and dresses to full-length pants, we are loving what this trend brings to the table. 2022 is putting a more modern spin on this very 90’s beloved look with a focus on a tailored, dressier pant which pairs beautifully with the minimalist styles we are loving this season.
Has a tote bag ever truly gone out of style? All signs point to no and fall runway looks are telling us that designers couldn’t agree more. There’s no shame in bringing out your favorite oversized tote, or investing in a new one this season. Designers like Brandon Maxwell and Bottega Veneta have spoken and oversized bags are in this season.
We are loving this trend specifically for our Jackie clients! They are moms, entrepreneurs, and women with a long list of to-dos. They can benefit from the practicality a larger tote offers. With everything on their plate, having a catch-all for her laptop, notebook, lip gloss, and everything else she needs for her day is a must.
This trend made its way to 2022 fashion with the appearance of all things Coastal Grandmother. We’ve been loving this all summer long and can’t wait to continue wearing this into the fall season. This is an especially convenient fall trend for those of us who live in warmer climates. While fall fashion is marked by chunky sweaters and gorgeous layering pieces, it isn’t always practical. A classic button-up is a piece that can carry you from the heat of summer to only slightly cooler fall days with ease.
With 90’s fashion trending and last season’s focus on Y2K fashion, it is no surprise that all things leather are very much on trend this fall. Whether you prefer a leather pant, a leather button-up, or a classic leather jacket, you can’t go wrong. This very bikercore trend can be styled to bring an edge to your own personal style even if you aren’t typically drawn to a 90s grunge look.
