Fashion Revolution Week
At Jackie, we care deeply about the brands we carry. As Fashion Revolution Week comes to a close, we want to acknowledge the role that we are actively playing in sourcing our clothing from the best in the business.
As a company, it is our goal to partner with brands that are striving toward excellence in the way that they create and produce their clothing. We acknowledge that the fashion industry has fallen short in terms of environmental impact and unethical treatment of factory workers. At Jackie, we look to partner only with brands who make and manufacture their apparel ethically.
This week, consumers across the globe are asking “Who made my clothes?” and we want to join in the conversation. Many of our brands are made in the USA and handcrafted by local designers. Brands like Jennifer Zeuner, Stateside and Maison Du Soir pride themselves in their locally crafted, USA made products and we are proud to represent their designs.
Consumers are beginning to take a more active role in understanding where and how their products are made. Brands that use recycled materials and give back to nonprofits that help combat the environmental tolls that the fashion industry has taken, are gaining popularity for their positive impact. At Jackie, we applaud this new direction and social awareness that consumers are bringing to the table.
Fashion Revolution Week is a time to band together, to join in with brands and businesses across the globe. It is a time to participate in the larger conversation on the need for reform and improvement in the fashion industry. At Jackie, we are constantly seeking out new opportunities to partner with brands who are making a positive impact. Reform takes time and we believe in taking steps, no matter how small in the right direction.
