Jackie’s New York City Guide
Each year, Jackie takes New York City by storm for Coterie, a global trade show where our stylists meet with high end brands and choose upcoming styles and trends that you will find in your carefully curated Jackie boxes.
We make appointments with our favorite vendors, where they sit us down and run through all of their upcoming lines. We place orders for upcoming seasons, keeping our clients in mind as we choose some truly beautiful pieces! We always make sure we meet with our favorite brands, Young, Fabulous & Broke, Current/Elliot and Brochu Walker, choosing only the best of what fashion has to offer.
While we love going to show, we love this opportunity to visit New York and visit our favorite restaurants, boutique hotels, coffee ships and bakeries. There is something so inspiring about the city. From fashion to incredible food, this city keeps you on your toes. Keep reading to explore Jackie’s New York City Guide. Be sure to save this link for your next trip! These places will never go out of style.
We almost always stay at the Refinery Hotel. It's an industrial yet chic boutique hotel in the heart of SoHo. Something about how this hotel is built makes you feel like you are escaping the hustle and bustle of the city when you cozy in for the night, even though you are just steps from some of the most incredible places in New York. Make sure you head up to the rooftop for drinks and a bite to eat. PS. There is an epic view of the Empire state Building. You don’t want to miss it.
We always crave some fresh, healthy food after a long day of traveling. They have fresh juices, smoothies, turmeric lattes and all-around fresh ingredients that make up for all of the little indulgences we make when we are in town.
It is, by far, one of the best breakfast spots in New York, not to mention a great place to take some photos! The fun, yellow accent furniture and cute interior make it perfect for pictures inside & out. We recommend going mid-morning for some stunning backlit portraits.
We know it’s not exactly lunch, but we loved taking our lunch breaks at Culture Espresso for their fresh baked cookies and oat milk lattes. They restock freshly baked chocolate chip cookies at 11am and 3pm. They're doughy, gooey and oozing with chocolate. They really do have the best cookies in the city. Plus, they have 3 locations, so you really have no excuse for missing this stop! If you’re in a rush, call ahead and place your cookie order before they sell out. You won’t regret it!
There is something about a New York bagel that will always leave you wanting more. Even if it's just a plain bagel with cream cheese, there is just something that's so much better about a New York bagel than the ones in Florida!
Black Seed is run by James Beard-nominated chef, Dianna Daoheung, a total lady boss with an expertise in bread making. She borrows her baking strategy from Montreal style bagels, which are always a crowd favorite! If you don’t have a trip to the city planned, but you want to try Black Seed (which you do, trust us!) you can order them online. What a time we live in ladies!
We are always sure to stop by one of Tezza’s favorite spots in New York, Rosemary’s. It is nothing short of delicious and perfect if you are craving some comfort food. Rosemary's makes their noodles in house so they're FRESH! They serve amazing, farm to table cuisine from their rooftop garden and Hudson Valley Farm. It sits at the heart of West Village and is such an adorable, authentic neighborhood to explore.
If you love taking photos at adorable coffee shops, you must stop by Cha Cha Matcha. The colors are so vibrant and the amazing matcha art the baristas create is totally “Insta- worthy!”
Their matcha is delish, but let's be real, their aesthetic is the cutest for your Instagram feed. With neon signs, matcha latte art and adorable wallpaper, what more could you ask for? At Cha Cha Matcha, they are all about community and they really bring people together. Whether it is with their amazing drinks or their photo-ready space, we loved spending time at this spot.
