Bring All of the Fall Feels Into Your Home
With the weather changing and holiday season fast approaching comes the need to change up your surroundings a bit. How do we do that without falling into the same trap of decorations we don’t love anymore or won’t love in the years to come? It’s about changing the details, the overall ‘feel’ of your environment. Here, Laura Lentz who is a stylist at Jackie but has also designed our beautiful space is giving three tips on how to add small touches of fall to your home. These are simple and easy to incorporate but have a large impact on bringing in the warmth and coziness we all love during this season, all without sacrificing the current design.
What do we all think of when we picture the fall season? The colors! Try swapping some of your current pillows for those that might resemble the colors of fall a bit more. The best part about this is that you can reuse them year after year. A small swap, but a large impact. Try it too with a throw blanket to cozy up with or warm up your bedroom with some new comfy sheets. Crate and Barrel has a lot of pillow pairings which makes it easy if you are not sure what goes together.
Turn off your recessed ceiling lights and instead, light some candles!
Pumpkin candles are great but why not add a new scent to your home? I personally love the Ranger Station candles, my favorite scents right now are “Lumberjack”, “Sandalwood & Bergamot” and “Leather & Pine” ( their Christmas are also divine! ). A bonus of these candles is that once the candle is done, simply clean it and the jar is a Whiskey glass! Changing the decor in your home doesn’t have to cost you lots of money! While fresh florals are always a go-to, grab that empty vase you’ve stored away. A great trend right now is simply adding some branches to that vase, it is beautiful and cheap. If you want to go a step further Amazon has some pre-lit branches that will match well with your candles.
Take these small changes and together, they will have your home transformed for the season in no time.
