What Jackie Kennedy Would Wear Today
Jackie O has always been a style icon. The former First Lady paved the way for many fashion trends during her time and is still influencing style today (hence, the name of our company!). Fashion is constantly changing and moving forward, and because of this, sometimes it can be hard to keep up. Here’s how we think Jackie Kennedy would translate her core style to the trends of the modern day:
PEARLS ALL OVER
Jackie once said, “Pearls are always appropriate.” It’s no doubt she loved the accessory and would be happy to see all the wonderful places we’ve seen pearls pop up that aren’t around a neck or wrist.
Capris, Meet Utility Pants
Jackie often donned a pair of capri pants. In 2023, we would likely see her sporting a similar silhouette, but with some added pockets and patches to complete the utility look.
Matching Sets
As First Lady, Jackie had to look polished and formal. She loved a dress suit and matching set, and, lucky for her, so do we! We’ve seen lots of tweed dresses and sets, as well as cardigan-and-skirt sets on the fashion scene this season.
Shoulder Showstopper
Jackie wasn’t afraid to show a little shoulder. She would often wear a sleek strapless gown to formal events. Nowadays, with the strapless and tube top dress trends we’ve been seeing, she wouldn’t have to get all dazzled up to wear the stunning silhouette.
The Modern Loafer
They always say trends come and go, and one trend that thrives in both the 60s and the present day is loafers. While Mrs. Kennedy may have worn a more dressed-up loafer back in the day, today we might see her in a chunky pair to complement her minimalist style.
