What to Wear this 4th of July
Happy Fourth of July!
Our favorite summer holiday is almost here and we have curated outfits for every occasion. The 4th of July is the perfect excuse to spend quality time with friends and family. It allows us to enjoy the sweet summer sunshine and more importantly, celebrate the freedoms that we have as US citizens. We are excited to share some of our favorite ways to celebrate and the looks we’ve pulled for each occasion. If any of these looks interest you we encourage you to apply to be styled by Jackie.
On The Boat: A Solid Stateside Tank and Cut Offs
This is the perfect combo to wear out on the water over a swim suit. It’s also an appropriate combo for docking at a casual restaurant for lunch or dinner. It’s an effortlessly cute look.
Dinner Out On The Town: Misa Dress
A fancier 4th of July event gives you the opportunity to flaunt a gorgeous, summer dress. Any hints of red, white, or blue will help you join the festivities in a subtle, classic way. If the traditional red, white and blue isn’t for you, we recommend experimenting with different shades of these classic colors. After all, we are still into monochromatic looks for 2020.
Poolside: Festive Bathing Suit
Hanging out in the sun by the pool or on the beach is the perfect time to show some American pride. At Jackie, we believe you are never too old to dress for the occasion and the 4th of July is an occasion to be celebrated. Plus, we love any excuse to show off a new swimsuit. Take your traditional red, white and blue look to the next level with a striped or star-printed suit.
Fourth of July BBQ: Striped Button Down with White Denim
Set the mood for a fabulous 4th of July BBQ with a classic, Hampton-inspired look. Trust us, this is a Jackie Kennedy approved look. Grab your favorite striped button down and pair it with white bottoms. It is time to bring out your summer whites! If you aren’t sure that button downs are for you, tie it at the waist or wear it over a tank top as a layering piece. You’ve got your look down, now it’s time for BBQ essentials. Sitting on the picnic blanket or on lawn chairs in the grass or sand calls for comfortable pieces. Reach for a classic baseball tee. The quarter-length sleeve protects from a potential summer-night breeze. Pair it with denim or linen shorts. Complete the look with a pair of sneakers and you are ready to go!
