“For our date nights, my husband and I prefer one-on-one, romantic, and sentimental quality time over a big event or crowded place. This year, I am dreaming of a picnic at our favorite park by the bay, which is a short bike ride from our house. We will pack a light charcuterie dinner (with chocolate of course), some of our favorite wine, a great smelling candle, and our portable speaker. With our picnic and dinner supplies packed in a backpack, we will hop on our bikes for a quick ride to our favorite spot. We will set out our blanket, prepare our charcuterie, turn on the music, light the candle, and enjoy each other's company as the sun sets.” - Abby Ours, Jackie’s Office Manager
“What’s more romantic than celebrating Valentine’s Day at home under the stars? Snuggle up with your loved one with some cozy blankets and pillows and watch your favorite movie on a projector screen in your backyard. If you need an affordable projector option, click here to view our favorite! It wouldn’t be movie night without some popcorn so I suggest grabbing some cute popcorn bins for a fun touch to the evening.” - Lily Cobb, Creative Director
“Finding time for date night is tough with the busy lives we live. That's why I always have a soft spot for Valentine’s Day. Some may think it's a cheesy holiday, but I love being able to have intentional time away from work or family with my husband. Recently, we have been loving grabbing our favorite pizza, glass bottle cokes and some delicious ice cream and heading to the beach for a sunset picnic. This date does not cost much, but the quality time we get to spend together is priceless.” - Lizzi Benton, Stylist
“I love going out to dinner! I don't love to cook, so being waited on is ideal and allows me to focus entirely on my forever date, Jordan! Some of our favorite spots are Ocean Star for sushi, Buya for ramen, MJs for a good steak and, not going to lie, we love a good Carrabbas pasta.
I want a date to feel like a true to-do, so I love getting dessert somewhere different from where we eat dinner. Unfortunately, my husband doesn't have as big of a sweet tooth as me, which means I always get to the pick the dessert place. I'm pretty simple. Most nights, I like picking up Ben & Jerry's from the store to enjoy snuggled up on the couch at home. I usually grab one of three flavors; Americone Dream, The Tonight Dough and Cherry Garcia. Date nights just got a little sweeter for Jordan and I because now we'll be going to and from in a new Jeep Rubicon...top down!” - Sabel Bezet, Head Buyer & Stylist
“My ideal Valentine's date night is seeing a live performance. I love date night at the opera, seeing a play, or a live orchestra. Even with limitations on live performances right now, our community has found creative ways to safely celebrate the arts. Throw in a great glass of wine and a chocolate dessert, and I can't think of a better way to toast to love! Hint: We love Gigi’s Cupcakes for all things sweet!” - Keely Karalis, Stylist
