I founded Jackie with one thing in mind; my desire for all women to feel empowered and supported. I want each woman to walk out the front door every day ready to conquer the world. I want them to feel as if they are truly making a difference in the lives of those around them, because they are. I see so many struggle with self love and doubt their abilities, when in reality, they have so much to offer.
Jackie provides me the vehicle to connect with these women and suit them for their role so they walk in with a level of confidence they have never experienced and in return, they feel a sense of power. I want them to truly love themselves to their core so they create the space to love those around them and share their God-given gifts with the world.
I am always educating my team on brands owned and operated by women in effort to inspire each of them to one day go and create something for themselves. They are amazing women and they too will have the baton handed to them to continue with what they see the women before them doing so well.
People seem to think success comes to the lucky, but that’s just not the case, especially for women! We have to overcome so many obstacles to prove we are capable of running huge enterprises and once people recognize and acknowledge what we are capable of, sky is the limit.
I can’t say enough on this topic. I live my life with the underlying theme of quality over quantity. This month, I am doing a behind the curtain series on Instagram and letting our followers see me in different aspects of my life. Most would agree, I live by the rule of quality over quantity because I value my time and worth and approach life with that mantra.
That said, I believe in the power of how you feel in the clothes you wear. I want women to invest in themselves and feel amazing in the pieces we send. Whether she is a stay at home mom or a CEO, every woman deserves to feel amazing in the clothes they wear and it speaks to everyone they encounter.
It really is less about the clothes themselves, and more about the confidence people experience when they step out in their Jackie items. Women have a tendency to feel that they have to put everyone’s needs before their own and often feel guilty for spending money on themselves but I am here to tell you, that is a lie and we are all guilty of feeling this way. When you go against the grain and stop believing the lie, you open up a space you have never been before and you won’t want to leave.
When employees at any of my businesses ask me what the dress code is, I simply respond with “Wear whatever makes you feel confident and powerful.” That’s it! If you are confident in your style, you will perform at a level you never thought possible and the result will be success.
It used to be that every occasion had a dress code from the business casual look at work to the business suit in the boardroom, but I almost like to shock everyone and stand out by wearing whatever I feel most confident in that day. I get dressed in my power suit daily and it looks different every day.
I am fascinated with style and brands. I study them daily. I am also texture driven so feeling how something feels on my skin is important. I have never been scared to try new looks and styles at any age of my life. I would say my style is sporty and edgy. I have more of an athletic build so I tend to gravitate to bodycon clothing and athleisurewear. I love that sneakers are so on point right now and can be worn with anything and look on trend.
