Amber's Summer Vacation Guide
Summer is my favorite time of the year. I love having all of the kids home and it was especially nice this summer because the opportunity to travel had opened back up and allowed us to visit some amazing places. Travel is such a big part of my life as I feel it is important to visit, see and understand areas outside of my daily norm. We live in a bubble and for me, travel inspires me and opens up new worlds of possibility that I never knew. I am going to give you my 5 favorite vacation spots to inspire your summer travels.
This is my go to for recharge and downtime with my husband. If you are looking to be waited on hand and foot and want perfect beach weather, there is no better place than Cabo, Mexico. One and Only has a handful of luxury resorts around the world and all offer incredible beauty and amazing service. I always leave this place feeling ready to conquer the world.
For a farm life experience with exceptional accommodations, Blackberry Farm is close enough to drive to and offers a laid back experience combined with nature and its love of the beauty outdoors. They have several events to choose from and activities from horseback riding to couples massages. The food and wine are top notch and overall the five star resort is great for a couples getaway or for the entire family.
What a great city this is. We have been in the past, but this year we were able to take our kids and I have to say, it was one of their favorite spots. The city is designed for pedestrians to walk, ride scooters and I was so impressed at how healthy the city was overall. They do such a great job encouraging physical activity and the people really take advantage of it. I love the shopping in Austin. ByGeorge is such a great boutique I always visit when in town. Always be sure to check out the music scene when visiting Austin. We tend to catch some good shows there and there is no shortage of great food! I’m a foodie and the variety from hot chicken to great Mexican, it’s all there.
I really cannot say enough good things about Nashville and what a great vacation spot this is. I would recommend this for a girl’s trip or a getaway for couples to experience great food, amazing people and great shopping. There is so much talent in Nashville and you just feel it when you enter the city. The weather is beautiful in the fall which is when I try to visit to experience the change of seasons, and don't miss their sunsets. It doesn't get much prettier than Nashville.
We have just recently fallen in love with Jackson Hole and all the beauty that is there. The city looks like a backdrop it’s so perfect, and it really showcases God’s beauty in design. Whether summer or winter, you will not regret going to this great city and experiencing the fluctuation in weather and all outdoor activities. You sit between Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons so there is no shortage of things to do and National Parks to experience while visiting.
Regardless of where you chooses to travel, the most important piece is who you share it with and the memories that are made. Don’t forget to make meaningful memories with the people you love this summer!
